Before starting the Digital Marketing Institute, the founders had been training and educating organisations and business people in all things digital. Furthermore, the founders were running a digital agency, advising clients on how to plan and implement successful digital marketing campaigns. We have therefore been running very focused, practical education programmes for over 10 years. We would like to think that our classroom-based training is an “experience”. This experience involves standard classroom type activities, which includes lecturing, interactive demonstrations, video, workshops, creativity and networking. We are now recognised as the leading provider of public training courses for the digital marketing sector in Europe.
2. Online-Based Education Experience
Why is it that “online learning” is so boring? The standard online learning delivery is “death by PowerPoint” – slide after slide with a boring voice-over. When we looked at these “solutions” we asked ourselves the following: “Is there a way that we can bring our classroom experience into an online environment?” In order to achieve this, we had to develop a whole new platform that incorporates the full range of “interactive experiences” that you would find in the classrooms to the web. This includes the ability to interact with your classmates, listen to their questions, network, watch the lecture and listed to the in-class discussions, use social media to interact with your peers, takes notes, etc. In fact, all of those experiences that you value and appreciate in the classroom.
3. Membership (DMI Connect) and Ongoing Education (DMI Extend)
One of the main challenges for the modern marketer is that the digital landscape is constantly changing. New products, applications, tools, methods, ideas, techniques and thinking are being developed on a near-daily basis. Digital marketers should know that they can have access to this new way of thinking from a single source and not have to constantly trawl the web for this information. Our membership programme provides for exactly this.
