To celebrate 30 years of serving customers in Spain, McDonald’s have placed up a special promotional video on their Youtube page. The hook is that the video plays backwards so starting at 2011, it goes back through the years, and looks at the trends and events that occurred each year until it reaches 1981.

As it cycles back through the years, the page begins to devolve to more basic technology, the Youtube video reverts to its old format while the video suggestions located at the side are replaced with an old fashioned cassette deck.

It’s not supposed to be a history lesson, but if you’ve a spare minute, it’s nice to have a quick recap of the major events and moments gone past, and perhaps even engage in a bit of nostalgia. Naturally, the video can be found on the McDonald’s Spain Youtube page.
